B-A-N-A-N-A-S

As a child, I always remember having banana bread around the house. Whether it was homemade or store bought, it was always just kind of there. I thought today it would be fun to share my own recipe for banana bread with everyone! Not to brag, but my banana bread is kind of amazing! I have friends to back me up on that one ;).

My recipe is based on this Simply Recipe. I tweak this recipe just a little and then I add my secret ingredient! (here’s a hint: It’s cinnamon!) -Not such a big secret, or too complicated, but it definitely gives it a better, more in depth flavor.

Mix together 3 ripe bananas and melted butter
Stir in salt, baking soda, beaten egg, and sugar
Stir in vanilla
Add in that delicious cinnamon
I don’t really measure
Stir in flour to make a nice thick batter
Heat oven to 350 degrees, spray your baking pan with Pam, and pop in the oven for about an hour!

Ingredients:
  – 3 ripe bananas (I didn’t use the bananas pictured above)
  – 1/3 cup melted butter
  – 3/4 cup sugar
  – 1 egg beaten
  – 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (I use a little more)
  – 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  – pinch of salt
  – 1 & 1/2 cups of flour

Bake at 350°F for about an hour or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Cut yourself a slice of banana bread and enjoy!
-xoxo
